Thanks for everyone's offer for assistance. hamah was kind enough to look at the car in person for me. After doing some pre purchasing research, it turns out that importing a car into the US is a lot less complex if the car is 25 years old. This one (1990 S2) was 24 years old and a Japan spec to boot.
