WTB: 87-88 951 and 87-89 944 struts
Need more cores for our conversion program. Looking for 2 sets of 87 or 88 944 Turbo front struts. Must be useable cores - do not need good damping. No 951S, please.
Could also use a set of 87-89 944na struts.
Email for details
Thanks!

Matt, contact me again by email when they are available to see if we still need them.
Ag951, a core is the useable strut less the insides. The insides are tossed. I guess core is the wrong way to describe what I need... the best "core" for our use is a worn out but not damaged strut... maybe casing is a better description.

Ah...so the tube I chopped up would need to be intact. I wasn't sure if maybe you just meant the piston section of the strut. Mine are junk then.
Oh...an interesting side note for those doing the Koni insert conversion:
If you don't have access to a secure table saw, get a pipe cutter. It's a little thing that looks like a question mark with a blade sticking out of the "stem". It makes a perfect cut. Credit for that idea goes to Mark Johnson (the guy who did most of my strut conversion, while I watched, learned, and helped).

Skip - you can probably just have them. Do you need the mounts, etc? Once, when I was in college Jason did a really good deed for me. I would be happy to let you have them. Small return, I know, but I try not to forget nice things, they are so few and far between.

I should have a set of 87 944na struts that I am willing to part with. I pulled them off when I put on a set of earlier struts with replaceable cartridges. I will check in the shed and make sure I still have them.
