I removed my rennbay fuel lines and I have to push the return hose back on and need to use some kind of lubricant to get it on. last time i used aft but I have no aft around right now.

could i use a bit of oil maybe? I'm not sure if it would damage the rubber.

Fuel lines can handle oil. Like fuel, it's also a petroleum product.

Oil...silicone spray...bit of spit should all help out

ok thanks guys. I have the older style rennbay lines and i'm always unsure of how tight I should tighten the clamps.

There are fuel resistant lubricants, DC-4 or EZ Turn are a couple. It is what I use when lubricating the fuel primer (o-ring'd piston pumps) in light aircraft, and the oil filter gaskets.
