Default 968 Rim??

I am looking to buy 968 rims. I received this photo from a seller...but it doesn't look quite like a 968 stock rim...does it?? I am confused.

Yep, those are the ones. I picked up a set recently for under $500 including shipping w/o rubber. That sounds cheap until you go out and price some new tires, like the Goodyear F1's. About $700 for the set.

Beautiful wheels. Much nicer than the D90 in my opinion.

Yep, those are stock 968 rims. They look like C2 cups with thinner spokes.
I like 'em.

Stock wheels indeed. Early 968's could also have 17" versions of this wheel, while late 968 17" wheel options were 993 style Cup 2's.

How easily do these (the 16 inch ones) fit on the 944NA?

Also, is it possible to do the 928S4 brake upgrade from Excellence mag
once these wheels are installed, or do you need to go 17"?

They should fit late offset NA's with no problem. Early offset cars would need spacers.

I think the car they did the brake job on in Excellence has these same wheels. He (Gerry Burger) has Boxster wheels for everyday and these for track wheels.

Andy, that's a picture of a 17" Cup 1. These guys are confused, they have some other incorrect pictures as far as 968 wheels. The 17" ones they show for 95's are wrong, and they also don't have the width correct-17" fronts are 7.5", not 7. I wouldn't use these guys as a reference source.

Oh! Thanks Damian...I like the one in the photo I posted...but I was confused by that website's photos.

I WILL be losing the painted crest center-caps in favor of a nice concave silver/black crest version!

I think the colored crest would go well with your white paint.
