Default Alternator exciter wire connection

88 924s
My alternator is not charging unless I hit it with 12v on the exciter wire circuit. There is a T-1 connection under the fuse panel Blue to blue/white wire. If I inject power there it starts charging. Where does this blue/white wire terminate?

Just checked the oil lamp comes on intermittently when key is in second position and no gen lamp. Does this circuit require this bulb like a 928.

I believe it does, certainly in the "early" dashes (i.e. a 924). Does it charge if you bump the revs up to 1300+?

The 914s would not charge if the dash indicator bulb was burnt out. Maybe check the bulb.
