Trying to purchase a balance shaft locking bar from Pelican there vender says it will only work on a 944.
Pelican part # pel-tol-p232 made by sir tools.
Is this true, the adjuster has the two studs but not sure about the spacing of the tool. Is there another option to hold this in place or will it work?

The 924S produced from 85-88 has a 944 engine in it. You can use all the 944 tools.

It works for the 924S, the pin wrench is really nice to have, it also slots into the TB spring tensioner and makes it really easy to retract it. Well worth it.
