Default New guy here

Greetings all...newbie here. Trying to gain an education as I'm looking to purchase a 944 turbo soon. Any pros/cons will help! Will be looking for a red/black turbo manual shift with Fuchs wheels...the more stock the better.

Welcome TexasKid. I don't think they made any USA Turbos with automatics or tiptronics, so every one should be a stick. I will keep a lookout. Here's one in Austin that has a burgundy exterior (no affiliation with the seller) but not stock:

Good luck finding a stock 951. Almost everyone mods them in some fashion. VERY few stock examples left.

you say "the more stock the better"... so what do you plan to do with it? Most 944 Turbos aren't stock because, well, folks buy turbos to mod them up and go even faster

Yea...I guess I should have been a little more specific! haha

No body kits, no crazy wheels, no "custom" interior, no chop-tops, no upgraded stereos that would make me want to enter a contest or try out for a rap video.

Performance upgrades are always welcome! But mostly, I'm looking for...and I'm sure I'll get flamed for this...the Sixteen Candles car. Red on black, Fuchs wheels, and has to be a turbo. I live in Houston!

The Sixteen Candle's car was not a turbo and I think it had cookie cutters not Fuchs.

Fuchs only fit on 1986 Turbos, so you have a pretty specific car to look for. Luckily there are a lot of '86 turbos out there. The turbos came with 16" Fuchs instead of 15" like the n/a cars, and they are worth quite a bit, so expect to pay.

TexasKid, I'm from Houston and am usually there about 1/4 of the year, and am probably moving back in the next 6-8 months. If you buy me a sweet 951 you can have my Sixteen Candles car

Red, with the 16" 951 Fuchs. and some other performance mods.

I have an ideal "Sixteen Candles" car, except for the fact that it isn't an '83....
Red, black cookie cutters, rear wiper, it's all there, just a year off.
