Default 1982 944 RoW

Late last year I picked up a 1982 944 RoW that was originally owned in Germany and came to the US in ~2006. If anyone has insight on production numbers of ‘82 non-sunroof, non-power window, non-A/C examples please share!

The car is guards red and original interior was black pinstripe cloth. Optioned without A/C, sunroof or power windows. Option codes below:
  • 261 – Passenger-side mirror, flat, electrically-adjustable and heatable
  • 398 – Driver-side mirror, flat, electrically-adjustable and heatable
  • 423 – Holder for cassettes and coins
  • 431 – 363mm four-spoke H steering wheel
  • 440 – Antenna and speakers
  • 456 – Sports shock absorbers and stabilizers
  • 568 – Tinted heat-protection glass

Great buy man! 👌
I am also searching for a 82 in red with pascha but they are now very hard too find here in Europe in good condition. I guess many has been exported to the US.

I think the true first-year cars are very rare everywhere, not to mention extra rarity of Pasha. Only 3,921 1982’s were built and all were RoW models (none for US spec).

My car was originally equipped with black pinstripe cloth interior. I always wanted Pasha so I “made it so” by buying the repro fabric from Sierra Madre Collection which is quite nice.

My car likely weighs under 2600 pounds because I removed the back seat, and it was originally optioned without a/c, rear wiper, power windows or sunroof. Curb weight in owners manual is 2609 lbs.
