Default Who wants the audi .68 5th gear

I may have a supplier for the .68 Audi 5th gear set.

Is anyone interested in a set and what would you be willing to pay for factory NOS?

Does it directly fit the 016 944 transmissions?

I believe it does. I have a set on it's way to me now. I will be installing it to make sure it is an exact fit. If it is, I will figure out how to get more sets.

I'm curious how much. It isn't going to do much over the N/A gear though (0.72 --> 0.68:1 means about 100rpm on the freeway...).

What kind of engine RPM is a car with an AOR transmission turning at say 80mph in 5th?

It's worth 200 rpm @ 80 mph with 265/35/18 rear tires in an NA gearbox. 3000 rpm @ 80 mph with the .729 5th and 2800 with the .68. It'd be much more significant in a turbo gear box with a stock .829 5th or an S2 box with a .778 5th. Even more so because they have taller final drive ratios than the NA gearbox.
