Glad to hear that you were both uninjured, cars can be replaced.

I was at a left turn signal 2 days ago, waiting to turn. I glanced down at my gauges, just a second or two. The arrow changed, and the car in front of me was already into the intersection. I started moving forward, but didn't get on it since I had food on the seat next to me. To my horror, some mouth-breathing ******* on a Harley has passed me on the right hand side of my car, in the turn lane!. I almost killed him before I even saw him, luckily I hadnt gotten much over 1500RPM, so stopping was easy.

I let him through, and then caught up to him on the road. The stupid cocksmoker had the ***** to flip me off, like I was the one who was at fault. It was all I could do not to just 'bump' him a bit, and then back over him a couple times for good measure. My sole condolance was to yell, "I hope you signed your donor card moron!"

Driving is a privilege, not a right! It should be mandatory to take and pass driving tests every year, for all ages. And every 3 years, maybe 1 or 2 mandatory AX/DE events.

Yeah, it figures it would be a cabriolet... How comforting!

Were they belted in? Well, that is one unfortunate accident.

I dont mean to jump the gun but what advice would you give for buying a 951 what can be fixed what problems should be avoided like the plague ... I'm thinking of chipping it and doing a mild HR turbo swap, 300-330hp at the wheels would make me more than happy, so does the bottom end need to be pristine or can it have a few miles on it? I'm no expert on forced induction so let me know if I'm a bumbling idiot.

OT
A guy was burned to death in a 944 last year here in Norrköping, Sweden, after a serious crash he caused. I think one person in the other car also was killed.

Take that girl to the cleaners, then take her insurance company to the cleaners, then take your insurance company to the cleaners. Then buy a Turbo for yourself, and maybe a NA for your girlfriend. Sound advice from an unsound mind .

But seriously, I'm glad to hear that everyone is OK. Losing a car really sucks, but as long as you're OK you can get another one.

Magnus, do you know if the fire was caused by a fuel line break onto hot exhaust, engine, etc. or from shorting the electrical system?

Glad to hear you both were okay.

There are not many 944's in this part of the country. Sad to see another one gone.

I was sad too after totalling my dads truck, but just happy to be able to walk away with my friend. Cars are replacable, even if they were loved, bu loved people are not.

If he wants, I can post some tips about what worked for me with the insurence company, end result of which was the other guy getting reamed by ICBC.
