Default WTB 31mm hollow torsion bars

Hi ,
I am looking for a set of 31mm hollow torsion bars. Itseems that the sanders have been on backorder for a long time.
thanks

whats the spring rate youre looking for? maybe we can help you find a solid equivalent.

i understand the purpose of hollow t bars but i dont think they're really worth any added cost...a solid torsion bar weighs about 5 lbs, even a thick one might be 6-7lbs max...so youre looking at 10-14 lbs between the two, what will the hollow ones save you, and will that be worth the extra $1-200?

It helps if we talk about torsion bars in terms of effective rate rather than actual size. Certainly a 31mm effective rate hollow bar is larger than 31mm. Sander can take FOREVER but ultimately they come through.

gotcha

then to the OP, i sincerely hope your search for these bars is for a track-only car.

i have 26mm bars and on some streets the bumpiness/harshness/noise is unbelievable.
and all my bushings and things were replaced when installing the bigger bars in december.

Ok, you want 30mm effective hollow bars then. I'm kinda with Spencer, 30mm solid will be much easier to find and I'm not sure it's worth the hassle trying to locate hollow versions.

Do you think it would be better to take the torsion bars out and get coil over shocks for the rear?

* Bumps a 8 year old thread.

944Spec rules require torsion bars in the rear, 30mm effective maximum.
