One part from a complete engine
Ok...for those who know, my rebuild has been in the working for over a year and a half...
well, everything is together....except for one part...
the block that I got is missing the oil pressure relieve valve....the one from my old block isn't the same as the one for this block...the new block has the valve and a sleeve that it goes too...
my question to everyone to end the journey for the rebuild is WHERE CAN I GET ONE OF THESE FAST?
if you need to, please call me too 301-697-7780 if it will get the part faster...
thanks,
space

I"m not sure what year the engine is....maybe if I get the number off it someone will know?
I do know the differences is one uses a sleeve....If either one of you 2's has the valve with a sleeve, more then likely that is it...
let me know

They both have sleeves in the block, just different diameters.
Does the block have the auto tensioner or just the idler for the timing belt? If it has the idler, most likely you will need the early 3 piece valve (cap, spring, piston) or the EARLY once piece assembly. I have been running the 3 piece with no problems, but the one piece is said to be more reliable because alignment is not as critical.
If it has the tensioner, chances are you will need the late 1 piece valve. (and I have one if you want it)
The only shady thing here is if you got the block from some hot shot like me who adapted the tensioner to an early block.. then, you really don't know what you have without checking the bore size with a micorometer.
Let us know what block you have.

You need the early style 3 piece setup, or the updated early 1 piece.
Call Paragon to see what they can do, or a salvage yard for a good clean 3 piece.
