Does anyone know how to translate 'euro' octane to 'us' octane?

87 90% of the time, 89 if I know I'm gonna run it a bit more.

You do know that using high-octane gas in an engine that doesn't require it (i.e. a 2.5L I4) you can actually harm the engine? Those engines aren't made to burn 93 octane gas. If its a turbo, its a different story.

This poll is a bit misleading, because US 944 cars require 87 while euro cars, 944S, 944S2 and all turbos require 91. I run Chevron 94 or 92.

BTW 87 (RON+MON)/2 (US grade) = 91 RON (euro grade.)
91 (RON+MON)/2 = 96 RON

93, which is the highest I have found in my location. I have to because of my chip.

Is it ok to put 87 octane into a non turbo car all stock car? I used to put in 93 octane, then prices peaked. I started putting in 87. I just emissions on my car done, my NOx was pretty high running on 87, went down about .4gpm running 93 octane. Since im in NJ now, im gonna start putting 93 back in.

Where the heck does everyone find 94? The highest I can find here in Phoenix is 91.
