I get Starbucks every morning so I engineered a cup holder for my 951 that can hold a venti iced coffee(or grande also) at over 1g. Fits like a factory part and after finishing will look like one. It securely clips in with no modifications.
What materials are you guys using.... everything I’ve printed in PLA doesn’t hold up to heat at all... even a hot summer day will cause it to warp, let alone engine temps

On the 3D printing front:
New bellhousing plug colors added - Green and orange
Same five colors are available for ISV and Turbo Aux Waterpump clamps.
I previously shared the 3D Printer Files (STL) in this thread so anyone with a printer can make their own. If you don't have access - I put a few up on eBay.
Those plugs if made of PLA will melt due to heat, Same with the aux turbo pump mount. Engine bay heat alone exceeds 100 degrees on turbo cars.

Looks awesome. I did this one a long time ago, which let's the cup sit a little lower I think to make shifting easier. It still kind of got in the way of shifting so I took it out after a while, but if I were commuting in it and needed my morning coffee I'd put it back in a heartbeat. Can I ask where you got the Porsche font for your model? I've downloaded a few that claim to look like the Porsche font, but they are no where near as good as yours....
What nozzle diameter did you use on the blue one? The sunroof gears I did are about as small as I'd want to go with FDM (at least with my usual 0.4mm nozzle).
As for draining the captured resin, perhaps add a few indented spots to act as drill guides for drain holes? Really though for a part that small, I'd just print solid and bump up the cure/exposure time a bit.
I have tried 0.4 and 0.3mm brass nozzles and PLA, PETG filaments.
I will try to extend waiting time or plate moving distance so the resin would have more time to drain.
Results with a non transparent resin should be even better.
The funny part is that these teeth are at a small angle.
The carbon fiber filament is not true carbon fiber - it just has pieces of carbon fiber in it. You're still dealing with limited strength of the filament material, and especially between layers. Nylon filament is quite strong, but it's also hard to print. There's some other higher strength filaments out there too.
The best way to get a feel for the current limitations of home 3D printing is to just start playing around with one. They're quite affordable now and the bugs are mostly worked out.
I find 3D printing to be great for prototyping - it's very cool to sketch something up on the computer and have it exist a few hours later. Revise and reprint until you have an optimized design.
