Where is the best place to get parts?
I'm looking for the best prices on parts but I don't want junk. Can you guys point me to the best places so I can compare. I need to buy a belt set and some other items like routine maintenance items air filter oil filter fuel filter so on.
I've used pelican for BMW parts but it seems others have better prices for Porsche parts. I figured you guys would be the ones to ask.

There are only really very few companies who import parts ( besides the dealer) Worldpak is one of them. CARQUEST owned Worldpak until Advanced Auto bought CARQUEST. I have a deal with my CARQUEST guy to buy Worldpak parts at cost + 10% which way
is better that ALL the places mentioned.

Guess it depends on what you're looking for.
Some dealers offer discount package deals for some items.
Some dealers are sponsors here.
I've sourced a number of new parts for my project from Sonnen...they seem to have great prices for factory parts.

I buy most of my parts from ian at 944online. S2 are less common and have gotten the wrong part when ordering from others.Ian has always gotten me the right part. I use pelican for my bmw and a few others they have been good. If you want used parts don't use the Oklahoma place I A1 PARTS AND GOT Faded parts and bumper pads.

I'm going to put in a plug for Paragon. I have always received excellent service from them.
Here is my thinking about quality versus price. You buy one timing belt every few years. If it turns out to be of poor quality, you find out on the side of the road, with bent valves.
Jason at Paragon sells hundreds of timing belts a year. Either he or Chuck will answer the phone and they will be very familiar with what you need. If they start getting calls from irate customers because a certain run of parts is fatally flawed they can at least react immediately to cut off that source of supply. So they get the best feedback on what holds up and what doesn't.
Also, I know Jason sells his Porsche OEM parts at a fair price between the volume based discount price that he pays and the retail price you would pay at the dealership. And when there is an alternate, non-Porsche supplier that he can suggest, he usually does.
So support your site sponsored vendors in general, and Paragon in particular. We aren't driving Toyotas. We are a niche market and need guys like Jason to keep our niche alive.

Lately though he has been stocking and selling mostly 928 parts, not much 944 stuff.
