I have a pair of 944 black leather seats from an 85 turbo that are in truly excellent condition. The driver side is a power seat.
What are these things worth?
I saw an eBay ad for refurbished seats for $2000, but that seems unrealistic.

The big question is whether they're regular seats or the big-bolstered sport seats. A set of normal seats in very good condition I'd estimate at somewhere around $600-800 or so, about the cost it would take to reupholster a pair.

Sport seats in excellent could very well bring in $2000, although a more realistic number is probably around $1,000-$1,500.

After a closer look, the driver seat has electric height adjustments for the front and rear of the seat, but the seat is on a mechanical slider.
The passenger seat is on a mechanical slider with no electrical adjustments.

I gave 600 for a pair of really nice ones to another R-lister last year. They will really help my resto project for sure! My early 83 seats were really beat..Upholstrey guy locally said 500 ea to recover. So I went for the better seats...no brainer for me...

So what would the market be for sport seats, power on the driver side with better than average black script cloth ? I have a pair sitting in a spare bedroom. The black looks sorta purple in the sun

In the neighborhood of $1000. You'd likely be selling to a 964 owner instead of a 944 owner.

Maybe...for sun burned, rat stained, rebuildable cores.

Barring seats in the above condition, black script M410 sport seats in good condition are $1000...a piece.

Agreed, sport seats are a minimum of $1500 in good condition. The only ones that were cheaper that sold recently the seller would not ship, hence the cheaper price.

I just sold a pair of power, heated sports seats that needed to be recovered for $1k. They sold in under 2 hours, so I way underpriced them.
