Default Black Sea R&D

After 150K miles on my ’89 944 NA I decided it was time to replace the clutch and I wanted it to last another 150K. So I replaced as much as I could while everything was torn apart.

This is my daily driver and to minimize the downtime I asked Constantine, at Black Sea, for a rebuilt torque tube with their super bearings to be advanced shipped. I can’t say enough about their product and service, he went so far as to arrange the shipping of the TT to my local shop and the pick-up of the core afterward.

I also replaced the master/slave cylinders and the master cylinder hose for good measure.

I decided to replace the transmission mount with Lindsey Racing “Ultra Mount” to match the engine mounts.

For what it’s worth, I already had the short shift lever up front and a short shift linkage, from Only944, installed on the transmission.

As you can imagine the car has been transformed from a worn out drivetrain back to its former glory.

I just want to shout out to my local shop, Modderman Services in Mountain View, and Black Sea R&D for going above and beyond the call of duty to make this happen.
