Default koni yellow settings with stock springs ('88 base)

I have a '88 944 base model. I'm about to start the shock replacement project. I'll be installing koni yellow's... I have the stock springs (nominally 21.8 N/mm or 125 lb/in spring rate). Does anyone have 1st hand experience with this set-up as to the rebound settings on the koni's? (I know that the front are externally adjustable, but still curious what setting people find the best).
Thanks!

The factory setting is 1/2 turn from fully soft. There's plenty of adjustment range that is still acceptable with the stock springs. For example, the PO of my car had them set to full soft when I bought it.

On my S2 I started in the middle front and back and tuned from there.

I used 1 step from full soft with 250 lbs springs.
