Default How to access the sunroof micro switch (front)

I'm trying to access/remove the front micro switch for my sunroof. I unplugged the connector by the windshield but having difficulty locating the end near the sunroof hinge.

Can someone shed some light on how to get to it? I didn't want to damage anything through experimentation.

It's a late model 944.

Thanks!

I recently had to change my switch. First I pulled off the little triangle flap, then the housing unscrewed from the roof. I unsoldered the wires to the switch, because I think the plug is under the vinyl above the driver's side sun visor... Soldered in the new one, and it's good-to-go!

Thanks...so the sunroof hinge has a plastic cover that pops off? I started prying it but didn't want it to break.

What did you use to get it loose..a flat tip? Mine wasn't budging...

I just popped it out with a flat head screwdriver on the hinge side. Of course, I was clumsy snapping it back in and broke one of the little tabs... So I had to buy a new part for $5.
