Awful,

Customer service got a hold of me after 3 weeks of emails. They sent me a A/C heater panel for 85.5 for $150. It worked for a total of 2 weeks then crapped out. I called to claim for the warentee they had, and never herd back from them. That was 5 months ago.

Wow. Oddly, I have never had a problem with them. I say oddly because I can find a good reason to bitch about just about anybody, as some of you well know.

I bought an long-block for my 86' turbo and he sent me one out of an 87'. When they took the head off, (to inspect the cylinder walls) the idiots forgot to take the actual bolts that hold the cam tower to the head OUT of the cam tower, resulting in, you guessed it, snapped timing belt, bent valves and a whole headache. Took almost a month to get Joe send me a new head gasket set. Needless to say that was over two years ago and the car still hasn't seen the road, because I got so frustrated working on it that summer. Taking it to Nick at Bennington Motorsports to get on the road. I'm gonna have to to with NO on reputable for my .02

Default Never again

I will never deal with them again. Bought what was supposed to be a Turbo S tranny; when it arrived it was not even an LSD let alone an AOR trans. Then I was accused of not knowing what I was talking about, I sent it back and had to fight for over a month to get my money and shipping back. There are too many other reputable vendors out there for me ever to use PAP again.

John, if i post a thread about my dealings with Porscheshop, there might be several hundred/[thousand ?] thinking twice about buying from them anymore.

i've had two good experiences with Joe at German Auto... but his prices are high.

they guys in Phoenix, [20th street auto] seem to be some of the most friendly/helpful i've talked to, their parts are gone pretty fast. too bad they don't have many parts that the 944/968 guys need.

i like the guy in Oklahoma too.

i've had very good experiences with LA Porsche, [even though everybody hates them].

On contrary to many others, I got the part I needed from them very fast, it arrived 6 days after the payment. What's remarkable here is that I live overseas and the part costed $720,- , so there would have been a chance for things to go funny...

Had a bad experience with a purchase that I made. It was like flushing $600 down the drain. I just looked at it as a lesson learned. Because before I went to his place of business I was warned by a local porsche mechanic and a fellow rennlister. They both told me the same thing and they dont even know each other. Buyer beware!!

PAP-parts"2rebuilt" water pump I bought from Vertex for my 944. It arrived and you could wobble the drive pulley. I still need to call them and return it / exchange it..
