I think you would be ill advised to run ATF that long or anything like it. As I remember the recommended interval is something like 40k miles or 4 years but stand to be corrected on that.

The ATF half life drops by something like 50% for every 10 degrees C above the recommended temperature. Because of our harsh conditions I tend to be very conservative on ATF life. I figure it is cheaper and easier to replace the ATF than it is the autobox itself. I have a spare transaxle unit from my late 90 S4- my ambition is to never have to use it.

So 2 GTS cars with rear parking/proximity sensors in one thread - had never seen one before today.

I did think about it too at one point, never went anywhere.

Cobalt Blue is just another one of those fantastic colors, especially in the sun.

On the topic of rear parking sensors, my general philosphy is that 928s "don't go to parking lots." So, you won't see me with any such thing on my GTs... :-)

LILI is nice (Cobalt blue is a great color) but it seems that it is possible to fit a rear proximity sensors system to a 928 without modifications.
Some members of my club have done it and the sensors are hidden inside the rear cover.

Default Reverse sensors

I had planned to get my bumper smoothed when I bought my GTS. However I may try and get the sensors working with a new box as this is a cheaper option for now.

You get used to them on the BMW daily drives so maybe worth keeping them.

Default Reverse sensors

$10 and 5 mins work and the reverse sensors are working. It may prove useful as the other cars have them fitted.

Cheaper than a smooth over.
