Default Parting out 88 S4 5-speed. Engine fire.

Everything forward of the firewall is destroyed, except for the engine and radiator. Engine is covered in soot, but I think it will clean up and be ok. I will have the radiator cleaned up and pressure tested. It is a new CSF aluminum radiator with about 1k miles on it.

Things already sold: rear bumper cover, tail lights and harness, CE panel, cluster, climate control unit, driving lights, LH/EZK, intake, tool kit.

The car has a little less than 100k miles on it. The 5-speed transmission is in good shape, had fluid change about 1k miles ago. It is non-lsd though.

The interior is cashmere, seats are a little rough, dash and dash pod are both in poor shape, good for cores only.

fire truck

we used a fire extinguisher to keep the fire down, couldn't put it out because it got to the oil cooler hoses and power steering right away and the extinguisher just wasn't cutting it

Brett, when did this happen? Very sorry to hear about any fire in a 928... (

What color is the interior? Did the car have the 10 speaker system? If yes, I would be interested in the rear 6.5" speakers and grills. Just shoot me a PM.

EDIT: Also, not that I think abotu it, if it it has the stock amp and wiring, I might be interested in that too. Can you post a picture?

Hi Brett. Terrible news. I'm sorry to hear this. I am in need of a bunch of interior pieces depending on the color combo. I also need the red center lock button with the icon of the key on it. Odd, I know. How are the door seals? The lock button and door seals are related to a locksmith that didn't know what he was doing :/

Thank you,
Ray

The central lock panel is $20, but there is one buyer that inquired first. If they don't buy it soon, it's available.

The interior is cashmere. The door inserts are in great shape, as are the door panels. The door arm rest need reinforced. I had the reinforcement pieces from 928 motorsports, but I sold them already. The carpet is poor.

The door seals are poor as well, it seals fine, but they are tattered.

Parts still left:

5-speed transmission $1500, or $2250 for all parts for manual swap, including a Spec clutch with about $500 miles on it with new TOB.

Complete engine, minus the porkensioner and guardian water pump I will be removing. Needs cleaned up, but doesn't look like the fire damaged the engine itself. $1500

Resonators and pipes $100

Power steering pump $50

Power Steering Rack $200

Black visors $25/each or both for $45

Passenger fender $200

Starter $75

Heater blower motor $100

Black/cashmere door panels $200 each or both for $375

A Pillar cover $50 each or both for $90

Washer tank with level sender $75

Interior door handles $25/each for both for $40

Pod switches

All glass

Front and rear suspension

Just PMed you about the ashtray, but I forgot to ask if the console was also cashmere. I'll take the ashtray if it's black.
