just a suggestion....use 2 or 3 layers of vinyl sandwiched lead sheets on the underside to kill the noise. the spare tire basin is a major echo chamber. ABS is fairly acoustically transparent.....and the type of sheets I'm talking about are manufactured specifically for acoustic deadening....they're probably the best bang for the buck and by far the most effective relative to thickness

I have been unable to find the correct aluminum foil or sheet to make them out of. The one shown here is simply vinyl and looks ok but they need to be foil or sheet aluminum. I think the cut off thickness between foin and sheet is .005 inches thickness and I think these stickers are just at that point or maybe .007 in. The foil/sheet needs to be gold finish so they can be screen printed then clear coated and must have a sticky back. Does anyone know a source?

Hi Jerry - It's correct for my car as I used the original as a template. But you are correct - it's just printed on gold vinyl. Aesthetics aside, from a safety perspective, better to have this with psi and speed than nothing at all.

I continue to get orders for these 928 Spare Tire Covers and have a couple of them formed and ready for final finish. One of them is going to be finished out for the 78/79 cars which are a bit different. However the batch of material I recently acquired for these had a big jump in price. That, together with Bidenflation, now compels me to rise my prices a bit. The New price for the 80 to 95 Covers is $110 and for the 78/79 is $120. The S&H to domestic locations is still at $30. I think foreign shipping is still about as previously advertised.

Email and PayPal is: jfeather@bresnan.net

Sorry, Jerry.....I misread the post. I am in need of the FOAM for the cover. I have the original cover, but the foam is disintegrated. Any solutions for that??? Also, probably need to replace the hood foam pad. Looking for help there too.

I had one finished and packaged for shipping, but I can see now how one might misread "Fully Formed" as " Fully Foamed." This one wil not likely be here for long since I send one of these every week or 10 days.

They are $110 now plus $35 S&H domestic. Paypal to friends and family at jfeather@bresnan.net. I have one formed and will finish it out for you later today. Send me your name and mailing adress here to a PM or to the same email as paypal. Their size is what make the SH so much. There is a surcharge for that.
