Value of Strosek 928S
Stumbled upon this car near some relatives' overseas and wondering if worthwhile bringing over.
1981 928S Strosek w/ 131,xxx km (82k mi) & 5 speed.
Thoughts?

Maybe it has a value of 25.000 Euro over here in Europe. Very nice car it should be kept and taken care of by a true enthusiast.

You say 'overseas'. Where?
I would think the value in Europe would be higher than in the US.
But I'm not certain its currently in Europe.
If Strosek Ultra is correct (and I have no reason to doubt), then it would be $28k USD.
No way it would go for that much here in the US. Not an 81.
Also, the wide body kits (or any radical custom job) are often a difficult sell. Not everyone likes them. Some do, but a lot more don't. It's a subjective and personal taste thing. It may take a long time to find the right buyer.
And while it looks pretty good on the outside, what all will it need?
Interior?
Mechanicals?
You could get upside down in a real short time.
If you are just looking to flip it, I would look elsewhere.
Flipping 928s is not a good bet, not if you aren't an expert and wish to be honest about it.

Are there 'under the skin' enhancements to Stroseks? I don't care for the body modifications, but I assume there's more to them than that.

Others are far more knowledgeable than me, but I think the Strosek kits were body only.
From this link:

It appears that the various kits were cosmetic only.
It seems Strosek sold cars with more power, but it was a case of Strosek sending the cars out to another shop for those modifications.
Its not a look that appeals to me a whole lot, but definitely interesting.
Also, there's a bit of a longevity problem.
IIRC, bonding fiberglass to metal isn't something that will last forever. Flexing and vibration, combined with the different rates of expansion and contraction from heat will eventually delaminate the fiberglass.
