this lift is pretty cool, anybody have one, any thoughts ?

well, it's 3 tons, so that's good. I kind of like how the long legs provide weight distribution, and it seems stable enough. It looks expensive though, so a regular 2 post may be still a better economic option.

It also requires 3 phase power. That is very rare except in industrial areas, most likely not in a residential area.

Just get the Quickjack. Goes almost as high, and is a $1000 cheaper. I just got mine and love it (Costco frequently has them on sale for $999). Here's a good discussion of it: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...00-lb-fit.html

Another Quickjack user here. For the price and functionality, you can't beat it. Also saves a ton of storage space....less than one of my golf bags.

WOW, I love this idea a scissor lift with space to work in the middle ! the only problem is I don't think i can get it to Canada, or if I can it will be expensive in shipping.
Plus the fact that this scissor lift rises within it's plates instead of using wheels on the floor, that is a bonus for me since my floor is comprised of rubber tiles and I would have to remove a patch for that !

I love the idea of the quick jack but I am not skinny enough to be completely comfortable under there at 21 inches height. The only way I could use the quickjack is to put it on a platform which would rise an extra 3 to 4 inches
to be more comfortable.

Yes it's not completely off my list yet, I just might need to become creative on how I use it to get more height.

I have a Workhorse lift, it's portable, uses 110 power. I can walk under my cars just like in any shop. Rated at 6,000 lbs. Had it about 10 years, best tool I've ever owned.

For about 30 years, we've had these at work. They get the job done in a way where "flexibility" in floor space is needed. Since they can be easily moved, they have virtues. But they also have quite a footprint. They are workhorses though.

I highly recommend you stick with your initial plan. I found the extra ramps they sell are not worth the cost - for <$50, I bought some pressure treated deck stair treads (1.5" thick x 12") from Lowes and use them to "ease up" on to the lift - works great. I also built a platform to go over the lateral supports - much better on the back.

Update - the Quickjack may not be the best option. For one, the customer service is terrible. Absolutely horrible. Just got off the phone with them. I've had my unit for only 6 months now, and have had some serious issues, including right out of the box - the air nipple on one of the air cylinders would not hold air and I needed to get that replaced before I could use the system.
Recently, one of the hose couplings failed, and if the car had been lifted higher, it would have tipped off the lift. I had to have new ones sent, plus new pads for the motor unit because the little rubber ones that came with it broke off. They sent the wrong parts for the foot pads - not even pads at all. So I called to get that rectified and got nothing but attitude from the smug CSR. They want me to take a picture of what I got and what I need and send them that then they'll send me the right ones - more delay and bullsh!t. These little pads are like 15 cents - they should just toss some in a bag and send them out.

Anyway - I am glad I have my lift bars, and they are going nowhere!
