Mark is in Europe on vacation. I've been waiting to discuss this with him...not sure when he returns.
AFAIK, it will be held the normal 3rd weekend of October.
One of the complaints about Sharktoberfest (the turnout has been steadily declining in the past few years) is that the single day format discourages people with longer travel distances.....it turns into a very long drive for a very short event, for some people.
The last we talked, Sharktoberfest was returning to a two day event, with the first day over at 928 International and the second day here, at my new shop in Orange (5 miles from Mark's.)
That would make the event October 19th and 20th.
I'll get information on the host hotel and confirmation of the date, next week.
We've got several tech sessions planned here, including a session on alignments by Rocky and a session on general vehicle checkover for maintenance items by Kyle. (What and where to look for issues and how to prioritize what needs to be done first.)
Rocky will be doing 50% cost alignments (Normally $200. DIscounted to $100) on Sunday (and possibly on Saturday, if enough people are interested.)
I talked with Gabe and he will be available for windshield replacements, again. Unclear if that will be here or there, at this time.
I'm going to be doing a tech session on the pitfalls of "waiting too long" to rebuilt your transmission, along with a primer on what to look for to determine "when". A "show and tell" extravaganza/scare you to death session.
We'be been busy doing an undercarriage restoration/huge improvements in handling/brakes/drivetrain for Magnus Walker's "intended to be" daily driver 928. Hopefully that car will be here, with its owner (he's been invited and was checking his schedule.)
We're planning on having an "unveiling" of a few brand new products that have been in the "works" for quite some time.
I've invited representatives from Porsche Classic to come and talk about what they are doing to keep our cars "on the road".
There will be door prizes, here, on Sunday.
More information will be forthcoming.

Not 100% but I "think" that weekend is fairly free for me. I'm planning to make the drive across the desert. Would be my first Skarktoberfest. Wanna catch a breakfast buffet in Vegas Friday morning then drive to California? Maybe anyone from the east we can meet up on the drive in. While others are getting ready to put their sharks to bed for winter some of us are just waking up. Love the fall and winter!

I likely will be heading down from Seattle if this is a GO.
Greg if there is room in the itinerary I can bring one of my 3D printers down and give a session on using the technology for classic car restoration.

Sorry I would really love to come but I have large Art show in Beverly Hills on those dates that brings me in money and keeps me in my P cars.
Greg, thanks for fixing my 86.5 Iris Blue 44,000 mile 928.

With Mark not doing this event, it appears that I'll be hosting both the Saturday and Sunday gathering, if there is any interest, at all.
Mark does not have a mailing list, so getting information of the event out to people other than here, on this Forum, gets to be an issue.
I'll be talking with Tony and see if he has any further information/ideas.
