Gazing into the crystal ball... I see that car spending time at a garage in Irvine, getting incremental restoration done. TEK screws get replaced with flanged lag screws, stuff like that. The 928 spirits in the ball are not perfectly clear on how much or how long it will take. I don't see you dumping the supercharged Merc soon.

The most fun I had in 928's was my first one,a 79 with 100K already on the clock. At best, with all the detail work I could do was make it a 20/20 car......That being 20 feet or 20 MPH.Drove it every day as my primary form of transportation,Road trips all up and down the east coast, even let Mom drive it when she would come down for summer vacations.Drove it 15 years, but another 180K on it.Still got it,stuck it in the garage somewhere around 2005/6.Never had as much fun in the 86 32V car.It was to nice, worried about it too much. Drivers are a lot of fun.All they have to do is be dependable.

While there's a certain 'pride of ownership' with a really nice car, there's no substitute for actually driving the darned things.
Mine is far from perfect, which means I can enjoy driving it. On a regular basis. No worries about adding miles or obsessing about the possibility of door dings in the store parking lot.

Maybe it's just an optional delusion but the front fenders do not look like 1981 vintage. Look wider for some reason. Could be just the reflection.
Nice grab. Prolly fed from the bottom, but since it's BLACK! I guess I'm not too pissed.
Enjoy, let us know if you need parts for it, we'll ask around. lolz

Three Wheelin'
front fenders do indeed look "wide" ….what size wheels/tires are there would reveal a lot....
