928 Gathering in Kansas City, December 21, 2019
There will be a very informal gathering of 928s on Saturday, December 21st, 2019. We will meet at the Kansas City Region Porsche Club of America (KCRPCA) breakfast at 7:15 am at Pegah's Restaurant, 12122 W 87th St, Lenexa, KS 66215. You do not need to be a PCA member to attend - all are welcome. Look for club members out in the parking lot or in the back room of the restaurant. There is no agenda - just a bunch of guys talking cars.
After breakfast, around 8:30 am, we will take the short drive to the Kansas City Automotive Museum, 15095 W. 116th Street, Olathe, KS 66062. The auto museum will reserve some prime spots for us at their Cars and Coffee function. Admittance to the museum is free.
We have at least six 928s confirmed. The last time we did this was Dec. 2014, and we had ten 928s show up. Would love to beat that record!
If you have any questions, post them up here.

Dang! I shipped my 87 back home to Albany, MO this past summer but will be leaving for the west coast for Christmas day before, would have loved to drive down and meet some KC 928'rs.

Yep, counting on it Ed!
Here's a couple of shots of Ed in his car from our last couple of PCA fun runs where I was tasked with trying to keep up with him! (Good thing I have a Rogerbox so that I can drive with one hand and take pics with the other)

Dang. I'm heading to KC for Christmas but not until Sun the 22nd. Would liked to have attended as I'm a new 928 S4 owner. I'm still working on replacing fuel hoses and cleaning the tank so no running car yet. Never hurts to soak up knowledge tho.
I think I've attended a few of your club's breakfasts. My brother was a member and has a black 88 944 Turbo S.

Anyhow, once you get that 928 S4 running, bring it on down. Mine's an '87 S4 with an automatic. Guards red over black. (also have an '02 996TT - the second pic shows the 3 red cars on display in the museum a couple of years ago)
And any time you are in town on a Saturday morning, swing by for KCRPCA breakfast. We moved it to Pegah's Restaurant at 87th & Quivira (just a few blocks south of the old place we used to meet in). We normally have between 40 and 50 cars every Saturday morning, but don't hesitate to come even if you're driving your daily - you are always welcome!

I may be coming down sooner than I thought. I was reading thru a step by step on replacing the timing belt and water pump. It may be a tad above my pay grade. Might check with Karl W and see what he'd charge to change it, although I hear he doesn't like working on sharks. However, I'd need tires and a windshield before it will be road worthy.

Thanks. Just got the gas tank back from cleaning (it wasn't too dirty to begin with). May not be too long before I can attempt a start.

Well, we had seven 928 owners at PCA breakfast, but only 6 cars as one was in the shop (shocker, I know). Then, only 5 made it over to the museum for cars and coffee. But, not a bad turnout for short notice.
