UPDATE: RECOVERED! My 87 Cassisrot 928 Stolen - If you see something....

Man, this must be very difficult to go through. Right now I’m sure there is a lot of stress dealing with insurance and the police, as well as expenses of the deductibles and probably new security measures. It sucks to be sure!
The new revelations are perplexing, to me at least. I always believed that most home robbery happened in the daytime, when no one was home. But yours was at night. And they felt comfortable enough to make multiple trips and screw around with figuring out that the battery ground was disconnected; unless that was obvious, as in visible if just walking up to the car. Will be interesting to learn the rest of the story.
Hopefully this is all over for you soon. Best!

Hello All,
Just wanted to circle back from my last post. Talked with the trooper in charge and he's got a good lead he's working on the stolen property/tools so best not to discuss any details about the case at this point. Hopefully, there will be some developments in the next week or two. I'll keep you updated.
THANKS AGAIN for the phenomenal support!

Hello Everyone!
Just an update with Great News! I've talked with the Oregon State Trooper working my case and they have one person in custody and were able to recover at least half of the items taken from the shop. The Trooper made it a point to let me know that Virginia's factory original 928 first aid kit is among the recovered items! I am particularly happy about that since the kit is virtually irreplaceable. I am on my way to Oregon first thing in the morning and will reclaim the stolen items this weekend. Although there are still items missing, the Trooper is continuing to work leads in hopes of recovering the remaining items.
I feel very, very fortunate to have Virginia back and now with quite a few of the stolen items soon to be back in my possession.....well, it's over the top! Stolen property like this is very difficult to recover and I'm very thankful! Thanks to all of you that have been sending positive thoughts my way and for all of your support. ...And Chalk Another One Up For The Good Guys!!
Hopefully I can provide another update in a week or two!

There seems to be more mystery and secrecy behind this simple burglary and car theft than some Murder investigations.
I am very curious about whether the perps knew of you and your car; and if not, why did they target your home? Stuff like that, the basics of why/how your home was chosen, apparently during nighttime (which is also odd). Just curious.
