Can someone give me some things to check for a 1984 no start. It will start with the fuel relay hotwired but no start with relay installed. New fuel pump relay came from a good source so it is unlikely to be the issue. It seems like it is just not getting the signal to activate.

Don't assume the new relay is OK. If it will start when jumpered that indicates the fuel pump relay is not working properly. I'd suggest getting a new relay from a different source or borrow one from another 928.

if its a USA version then the FInjection and FPump relays are special,
neither of them are 53 relays

I got the fuel pump relay from Roger. I think I will get a fuel injection relay coming as well.
