This is a basic tutorial to assist those who might choose to use it for future group events. Some people have used it for Frenzy and it is likely going to be used for Rendezvous 928 (http://glympse.com/!Rendezvous928)

To get started download the Glympse App from your phone's appstore or go to ... https://glympse.com/get-glympse-app/

Step 1 - Share your Location (choose share option from menu in Glympse App)



Choose Glympse Tag

Step 2 - Set up Glympse Tag



Notice how it says Rendezvous928 with an exclamation point (!) in front of it. That is a public/group tag thing. It is important you use the same tag as the rest of your group.

You can give others a URL to view the event like - http://glympse.com/!Rendezvous928

Once you have set the Glympse Tag to match to your current event (or a NEW event tag). You'll want to set up the rest of the Tag.

Step 3 - Set up rest of tag (especially choose Sharing Duration)




Initially the sharing duration is for 15 minutes. You can select up to 12 hours.

That should be it. If you shut down Glympse, you can share but then use the "Recently Used" tag.


Optional Step - Extending your sharing

Below is a view of the app once you are sharing. The Icon on the top right (Arrow Head pointing up in a circle) can be clicked on to modify your sharing




If you click on the icon, it allows you to (add)+15 Minutes, Modify your share or Stop Sharing. PRO TIP: you can just click (+ 15 minutes) four times to add an hour of Glympse broadcasting.





It is really that simple. These few steps ensure you have control over the location being shared, instead of the other way around

Hey is there any way to collect this data for the whole week and create a time laps of the journey in?

I think I've got it set up correctly. Wouldn't work for me at the last Frenzy. Just shared my position for the next 30 minutes, could someone check and tell me if it's showing my location?

Im not seeing your location in the app. Make sure you have the ! before the Rendezvous 928 part...

I can see where I am, but I already know that. How do I see where anybody/everybody is?

go to the 3 bars on the top left and then go down to tags select the !Rendezvous928 and then people show up you may have to shrink the screen to get a broader overview. I see Alex and Big D in that area.
