Chose your words carefully ...
... as your posts are no longer editable.
So, no chance to correct typos, poor word choice or to clarify, etc.

Mr. Worf, I just now edited my post directly above, so I'm not sure what you mean.
Can you please clarify.

it looks like I can still edit posts

Well, that sucks. Kinda hard to update for sale threads or event threads now then. Does anyone know why they did this?
I just edited this. ?
It must be time limited, my other thread for the wheels I can not edit, but this one I can

If this is true, it is a huge mistake on a TECHNICAL FORUM.
Practically every thread I start needs to be edited at least twice, to put images in the right order, add clarification, etc.
Also, on a few threads where guys post up a "how-to" series for repairs or upgrades, losing the edit function makes it just a waste of time.

Ok. Apparently *I* am no longer allowed to edit posts. Or thread titles.
Some of you are more equal than others. Now.

Apparently, if you are a member of the "new" forum created in response to Bloody Tuesday in the OT forum, your 'privileges' on Rennlist have been circumscribed regardless of any 'bad behavior' on either forum.

Interesting. Well maybe it's just me but I think car forum websites should be strictly limited to discussion about cars. Period. End. If you want to discuss other stuff there is always Reddit.

Also, OT on Rennlist pre-dates Reddit. Arguably it predates even Facebook.

I'm sure you are correct. And I'm sure there are lots of members who spend the vast majority of their time on the non car related forums. And it is easy enough not to cross the tracks and stay in the car only forums. I'm was just stating my eutopiatic (not sure that's a word and I'm not popping out of this post to check Google if it is) preference. In fact I am so myopic that I would prefer the 928 forum to be a stand alone site where nothing but 928 related stuff is discussed.

I'm just not sure if I have ever done that before now that I think of it. On the other hand, every time I post a new thread I have to edit a minimum of twice just because of stupid spelling errors, etc etc.

IB wants to ensure that their IP is not removable by those that contributed. It will be interesting to see their response to GDPR requests and the similar facility afforded to CA denizens in the US.
