Like the title says. Free 1979 4.5 engine to anyone in the 928 community who can come and pick it up. Engine came out of a crashed 79 I purchased several years ago to do a manual swap into my 83. It is not seized but other than that I have no idea of condition. Looks unmolested and complete with accessories. I am moving out of shop in next 10 days and don`t have any time to deal with it. Shop is located in the Glendale, AZ area. ( Phoenix). If nobody can use it, that`s cool. I will give it to re-cycler as scrap.

HI from rob in prescott..I bought your auto trans a few years ago and it's still working good. I was wondering if the engine has the steel cam gears?

If not takers, you could pull some useful stuff from it pretty quickly. The intake spider is worth a couple hundred. The steel cam, crank, and oil pump pulleys if in good shape are worth a few hundred. I'd also pull the water bridge, AAV, WUR, and fuel distributor. That's probably an hours time for a few hundred bucks and not a lot of storage space required.

Hey did it come out of a 1979 Red 5 speed. Don't have vin with me at work. I purchased it and was wrecked well being picked up.
