Going to miss Bruce greatly. In 2014 I won the “high mileage” award at Frenzy 18, with over 200K on the odo, Bruce was a close second. And every year since he was getting closer to my mileage, going to miss the high mileage challenge I had with Bruce, RIP Bruce.

My condolences, sad to hear. I met Bruce at the 2011 Rennsport Reunion in California, a long drive for him. We had a nice conversation and communicated occasionally after that. He had invited me to the Frenzy, hope to make it in the future.

Very sad to hear this. Condolences to his loved ones. R.I.P. Bruce. May you have beautiful weather, and smooth curvy roads to enjoy the drive.

Oh, this is so sad to hear. I was always fortunate to spend some time chatting with Bruce at each of the Frenzy's we've both attended for 'lo these many years'. He was interesting to talk with, about both life and cars. We communicated via email a few times a year, and when I read this, I realized we had not touched base with each other since very early 2020. Sure wish we had. I feel very badly about his loss to both his family and our community. He will definitely be missed by many of us. Thanks for the memories and for sharing a small part of your life with us Bruce - and RIP. Well done sir.

Gary

So sad to hear. Bruce was a genuine soul - down to the core. He always had such a positive attitude. Guys like that are a joy to be around. I'll miss him for sure.
Thanks for sharing those pics....especially yours, BRIAN. Great photo.

I posted this in the Frenzy thread... You only needed to meet Bruce once and you felt you had an instant friend.
***********
The Fun Run that I polished up and mapped out is about 50% the result of input from Bruce. The BEST part, the sweeping Rectortown Rd that takes us through the little village where a family waits for us to pass every year, was Bruce's suggestion, as was Blue Ridge Mountain Rd past Mt. Weather. He was extraordinarily nice....like on a whole other level of nice. He loved Porsche's and owned many valuable ones, but his favorite wasn't the most expensive. He preferred his S4 to his GTS. He assessed cars on their merits, and spoke softly and thoughtfully about cars and all other things. He was one of our wise elders.

I haven't been following the forum closely for awhile and now teaching online has all my attention (going surprisingly well), and I also am not attending Frenzy this year. Greg dropped by with his son to pickup the PA system. He didn't mention Bruce and the mood was pleasant yet subdued. Difficult times we are living in.

Someone is very interested in my S4 and it probably would have been sold by now if I had time to sell a car. I took if for a nice drive today. It ran beautifully.

Someone will get a nice door prize at Frenzy. I gave Greg an aluminum S4+ front belly pan (928 Intl I think) to include in the raffle.

Have fun in the parking lot and maybe take a moment to think about Bruce.

And for those who didn't know Bruce, he was very involved in Frenzy and was eager to commit his time in any way that he could. Aside from being a huge help rounding up sponsors and vendors for the events, he organized the Fun Run for years...prior to Jon Pruess stepping up. Jon can attest to how big a task that is.
