Default Oh Great God Of Lists...gimme some lists..

Doing an engine-out, heads off on an 85 auto. No_real_ service on anything forward of the TC bearings out back.

Will also be doing rack, arms, joints...but, has anyone assembled a parts list of the to-do's and WYAIT stuff by PN if you gathered it?
Heads going to Greg so no list for those..other than gaskets.

How deep do you plan on going into the engine? Dealing with the crank, rods, and pistons adds a fair bit more parts to the list.

Just hope that the cylinder walls aren't corroded or else you can add 92810190803 to that list.

Anyways, do the front upper a-arms regardless as access to them will be great with no engine in the way

I'll try and compile a list on my day off as I'm doing a lot of the same work on my 81 as well.

Great time to restore / re-plate heat shields, AC pipes, and all them little plated brackets. Plus Firewall insulation, brake booster, master, and associated lines. Respray the engine compartment and while you have the paint out and the hood off pull everything out of the wiper area and respray that too....and since the radiator is out pull the headlight bar and motor and respray all of that area plus the fender wells forward of the radiator. In the process is a great time to scrub and detail the wiring harnesses. Basically touch everything from the front grill to the firewall.... it'll be beautiful!

The dealership is giving her a bay to use for 1-2mo, so she's gonna have a great time.

I'm jealous...I wasn't doing **** useful at age 22.

I wish I had a bay to play with like she has. (Count me as jealous too!)

I just got done doing a set of rod bearings in a 944 while replacing everything else in there, MM, complete PS refresh etc.

She is going to really enjoy that lift; Harbor Freight jack stands just aren't the same.

She really should throw a set of rod bearings in there though if they're original. They aren't even that bad to do with the engine in the car if you are already doing an OPG.

At the other end of this I think it will be her that will be able to provide what would be the very useful list you mentioned. Hopefully she/you share it

Im sure shell keep good notes, and its cost & time, heads come off @home ASAP, get to Gregs, so that when she hits the shop it's mostly quickly available stuff.
