Dave, I hate to see you sell it. When I got my '84 some 12 years ago I followed many of your threads that helped keep mine on the road all these years. Thank you for all your contributions to the group. Hope you still check in from time to time.

I did remember one other small problem with the car:
The pod light on the left near the fuel and temp gauges will sometimes go out. I got pretty good at reaching up behind the pod while driving and fiddling with my fingers until the light comes on again. Then it's fine for a while. It never seemed bad enough to pull the pod and fix the bulb socket fit, so I just never did that. It can be annoying, but in the grand scheme not that bad. I don't drive it at night very much so I totally forgot about this.

Rear tires are probably too old to be safe. You should burn them up and replace in the interest of safety for the new owner.
Whoever buys this car will be getting a one hell of a deal. Dave is a gentleman in the true sense of the word.
His worries about disclosing every minor flaw of a 37 year old car is testament to that.
I rode in his 928 when he picked me up at the airport more than 10 years ago. It was in great shape then and it appears there's been many improvements to it since then.

Just a thought---Now that you're retired, you might consider a few road trips to the various 928 events around the country.
Since I retired, I find myself looking forward to getting my GTS out of storage, hitting the road, and meeting up with 928 folk.

It is a very pleasant memory to have met you, and worked with you and your excellent products over the years. Without vendors and craftsmen like yourself, the 928 would be an unsupported, fading dinosaur.
Mine gave me great enjoyment, as well as challenges to solve. I actually enjoyed working on the car more than driving. I am always afraid of inattentive drivers on the roads. Also, now that the car is fixed up, very near to my liking, I have no more worlds to conquer. Except for maintenance and whatever new ideas may come along. But I have to leave something for the next guy. That's why I am only mentioning the car on this 928 forum. I would like an enthusiast buyer with realistic expectations, and someone who will keep the car and have fun with it like I have the past 16 years, not a flipper or dealer, preferably. Anyway.

I have many of the take-off parts, and you and 928 Int'l could return it to stock, and still have $ left over. Ha ha.
I'm pretty sure a supercharger is probably not allowed in CA except for off-road use. It is an asset to some people and in some places, and I obviously thought it was worth the adventure. I wanted the older styling of the early 928's and a little more power. That's what I got. It was never meant as an investment to me. If I added up the receipts for the add-ons, which I definitely will NOT do, I think I have spent more than my asking price for this car. It was about arriving at my concept of a desirable 928. There are many other ways to get there, but this is the path I chose.
BTW, I have truly valued you opinions and advice and products over my years with this car.

Several people asked me what the power numbers are for my car, and I don't know. Carl's website show their dyno graph for my model and year with the same kit that my car has installed. Just for reference. My memory was close that it gave about 100HP extra to the wheels. If posting this image is a violation of any sort, I will remove it.

No, the car has not yet sold.
I have had conversations with four different people, and they all sound interested, but no sale has occurred as yet.
I think I'll keep it on this forum exclusively through May, then if not sold, will probably put on Ebay. I do realize that this forum has a limited number of devotees that are in the market for an unusual car at any given moment, and it is my strong preference to keep the transaction here.
I am not in any great hurry, but this is a Summer car, and I would like to do this with some Summer still left.
