The wheels look like forged BBS wheels:18x8 BBS RS-GT (front) and 18x10 BBS RS-GT (rear). Also, it has a GTS rear bumper cover and the seats seem to be in decent shape (except for the rip).

So if the car has been sitting (supposedly) since 2015, are we looking at a head gasket replacement right off the bat?

There will be a lot of corrective maintenance for the next owner...

More important is the crankshaft endplay, since it is an automatic.

Look up "TBF" in this Forum.

The photo of the right rear quarter panel with the black 'dirt?' looks familiar. This car has been on Rennlist 928 forum before in recent memory.
Unfortunately, I don't remember anything about it.

Im aware of it. But there is no way for me to check that without buying the car. Of course that may be the true reason the car has sat so many years....

I’d do it, but I’m weird that way!

Not for 7900. It looks like a flood car. Not to mention the humidity in SC is brutal, and sitting and baking for years there has done it no favors either. It's a roller, and I would not want it unless I could use parts from it. Even cleaned up, a car that has been in a flood will never be right (I don't know if this one actually was, but it sure looks like the engine bay was under water at some point).

I never understand why people list things the way they do. Why would you not wash the car before photographing it for the ad instead of saying it's in better shape than it looks but hasn't been washed in 6 years. Then he puts comments in his ad about low-ball offers from broke idiots - who's the real idiot here. When you buy a used car, you're buying the prwvious owners too. Don't love the car, it likely has issues, and don't want to buy anything from a guy like that regardless.

They always 'ran great when parked'. But it's not running now so it's a cat in the sack. Priced 4x too high for the condition, unknowns, and requirements to get it from not starting on fire again. I bought mine in better but similar condition (not running). I paid a shade more than the price I suggested here. I'm not saying don't buy it, I'm saying not at the advertised price.

Here's what mine looked like when I bought it. Hadn't run for many yrs. It needed a lot of elbow grease to get it to shine, but it did. The one you're looking at will need a complete paint job since the paint is faded. You can see in my avitar how she shined up with no paint work, just a lot of polishing.

Not so sure about that, and have a different take on this: I prefer they DON'T wash cars like this. It's a more honest/true representation of what's for sale, IMO.
Can you imagine how disappointed someone might be, buying this car that looks all so shiny and all so bright in the few pictures that are offered? This is on Facebook Marketplace after all!
Can't completely disagree about your assessment of the seller though...😏

I agree, it looks like a flood car. Look elsewhere!
