Default Who can Repair Porsche 928 Timing Belt Tensioning Tool 9201

Hi there.

My 9201 tensioner checking tool just stopped working the other day. I never got an answer as to how it stopped working, but the needle is stuck at 7. I need to know if there is anyone who can fix and calibrate the tool please.

Thank you.

Define stuck, like is the secondary needle that shows you how tight the belt is after you remove the tool from the belt jamming the primary needle?

Or is the primary needle just stuck at 7?

I've had the secondary needle jump over and jam the primary needle on mine before, but putting pressure on the tool to mimic a belt and maxing it got it to unjam.

As for calibrating, spend the $20 and get the calibration bar. You don't need any tools to calibrate it, simply use the bar like you're measuring the timing belt and move the dial to 0.

The needle is actually stuck at 7 and doesn't return to 0 or near zero. It doesn't move at all.

No need of a tensioner checking tool.

I use my smartphone with an apps which can registered low noise as 60 or 90 Hz. I had sampled that tensionner with a real tensionner and the result is the apps is much more precise and constant.

I admit that I do not really answer your question but only a way to make it a different way
