Default path for fuel injection pulse timing 84 ???

i've looked at the wiring diagrams for 83, 84, 85. i can't seem to find the path for the signal that tells the fuel injection to fire (upstream of the controller). i thought i read somewhere that it triggers the tach and the circuit went from the tach to the controller, but i can't find a signal leaving the tach....

Default RPM signal for 1984 Porsche

I assume you're referencing the US 1984 928 L-Jetronic fuel injection system.

The transistor ignition control unit output pin 16 (green) connects to central electric O7. It connects to Fuel Pump Relay XVII pin 31b and the same signal is routed to the tachometer.. From there it connects to central electric W7 where it then connects to L-Jet control unit Pin 1.
