Thoughts and Prayers to Dave and Jeannie! Both my mom and my brother went through this within the last 2 years. Physically and emotionally taxing.

Best wishes and prayers for Dave and Jeannie. Dave brought me into the community in 2012, and I never looked back!

Love you guys!

When I was new to 928s, Dave & Jeannie and 928 Specialists were some of the first "928 folks" that I turned to. I had tons of questions and they were always there to help. Into the first year or so of learning about my new Porsche, I experienced a WTF moment on the side of the road, several miles from a service station and hundreds of miles from someone who knew the difference between an S and a GT. Not knowing where to turn, I figured that it couldn’t hurt to call these guys at 928 Specialists. Jeannie answered and I was surprised when she offered to get Dave on the phone. Dave explained to me what limp home mode was, and what I could do to diagnose and possibly get myself home. His tutorial and suggestions worked and I was back on the road in 20 minutes. Dave may not remember saving my *** that day but I’ll never forget it. 928 Specialists was my first impression of the business side of owning and maintaining a 928.
That was 20+ years ago.
Over the years, 928 Specialists helped me realize that 928 ownership was a realistic and enjoyable pursuit, and I was hooked.
Knowing Dave and Jeannie over the years helped me realize that being part of the community was a special thing. I have always appreciated their generosity and admired their commitment and integrity. As Dave always says, “It’s not the cars, it’s the people.”
Their business may be on pause, but my respect for Dave and Jeannie will never be on pause.

My wife and I continue to pray for Dave and Jeannie. We trust that God's plan accounts for this while we pray that He will heal Dave and lend Jeannie the strength and wisdom that she needs.

What can we do to help them? Meals ordered and delivered, errands run and items shipped to them, phone calls to support or listen, inventory bought, affairs handled or advised, letters written and sent, framed and signed photos of past gatherings sent? What do they need or want?

God can do anything and does answer prayers, but let's not abdicate our personal responsibility to also be active in helping. Is anyone coordinating or close enough to them to know what would serve them best?

At this time Jeannie is spending 100% of her time taking care of David and is unable to "work" to fulfill orders.

Jeannie has every intention of continuing the business, but it needs to be on pause right now.

I do not know when this situation will change. In the meantime, I hope that those of you who have been 928 Specialists customers and/or friends with David and Jeannie over the last 30 years will from time to time hold them in your thoughts and prayers.

Jeannie and David are looking forward to Shark's in the Mountains this year.
I'm sure the 928 community wishes them well. They are great people!

I got connected with Dave in the late 90s. He's the one who showed me for the first time how to identify a 928GT. He was always super generous with his knowledge and enthusiasm. We can all take some lessons, well outside of car knowledge, from he and jeanie.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave & Jeannie during this challenging time and for a solid return to stable health for Dave as soon as possible. Dave & Jeannie, along with their "928 Specialists" website were my introduction to the intricacies of 928 ownership twenty-four years ago. It was Dave who I asked to do a pre-purchase inspection on a Red 928S4 from Marietta, Ga. before I would agree to close the deal with the prior owner and get the car to Connecticut via Evansville, IN. Dave affectionately referred to the car as "the red rocket," and gave me a two page list of his observations and recommendations. Based on that, the deal was done, and I drove the car eleven hundred miles through the night to its new home. The next spring, it was off to see Dave & Jeannie, at "Sharks at the Lake." I was a new comer in every respect, but Dave & Jeannie treated me like I'd been part of the group forever. They have continued to do so much for the 928 Community and for individual 928 owners over the years, that it is impossible to describe every aspect of the positive impact it has had on 928 ownership. Best wishes for a strong and lasting recovery, Dave.

Ditto. When I first jointed this group with the '85 back in 2001, the first time I had a question it was a call to Dave. He correctly diagnosed the problem. I join those (who wouldn't? ) hoping for return to health.

Great people and they were my initial introduction to the 928 aftermarket in 1995. I wish them all the best and particularly a return to good health!

Fellow 928ers'

Can we still place orders through 928 Specialist? Timing belt service and want them to have the business. Thanks.
