The S&H quoted above is $60, but with the extra piece I suggest $70. If you pay by paypal I also require 5% for the fee unless you send it friends and family. I have it packaged but I have to open it to put the seal on the Cowl cover. Let me know. It rounds to $490. Jerry Feather

Jerry;
I am considering taking one of these. Does the discount for no paint apply to the new price schedule?
Thank you
Miguel

OK I have cancelled it. I will do it again. It still took my money. Just want to make sure my card gets cleared of the debt first. Lets hope the exchange rate went my way.

I also used the incorrect email address. Cancelled yesterday’s payment and sent a new one this morning for the revised total for pan and cowl + 5%. Please PM the tracking number.
thanks

Yes. The introductory price is $395 painted or $360 no paint. The S&H to Domestic is $65 or $75, to Canada is $75 and to Australia is $110. If you order more than one pan add $10 shipping for each additional. If you use PayPal you need to add 5% for the fee or send it by friends and family.

Just sent you a pm order. Can’t wait. I think this will improve the cooling also?

What is the cowl cover you speak of? I don't think I saw this part.

the glossy textured black piece under my windshield is his reproduction cowl piece. Very sturdy and fits great. My original one didn’t cover the drivers side third and I had water ingress on top of the accelerator pedal. His full cowl cover stopped that leak

Thanks Gunar. That is not the best picture of one, but it does show how useful it is to hold the miscellaneous bolts and bracket from various engine compartment work. I redesigned the Cowl Cover a little bit to have it fit correctly and to extend it beyond what the originals covered. I make it out of 16th inch thick ABS which is nearly twice as thick as the originals. They are still $90 each and now $30 for S&H to domestic locations. The Cowl Seal with it is $15 and the Shell Stickers are $5 each installed. No stickers before 84 and two between 87 and 91; one after 91. (They will ship without extra S&H with the Belly Pan.) I just shipped such an order to Canada this morning. There is no better deal available for the 928 anywhere.

And he ships the cowl cover with custom wood supports to protect it during shipping. Attention to detail is amazing

Rather than go out and take another picture of one of these I simply bumped the thread about them in its entirety. I hope that answers your question about them.

Thanks, Pete, for fixing that.

I have several of these almost ready to ship. I'll probably get them all in the mail in the next couple of days. Thanks everyone for your patience.

I have not responded to this suggestion-with-a-question-mark for a while because I don't know the answer, but I have given it a lot of thought, both now and before when the suggestion came up in the development thread at least once or twice. My original thought was, and I may have even expressed that in the other thread, that this Belly Pan may in fact slightly hinder the cooling since it is essentially closing up much of what is otherwise a very open space for the after-radiator air to go, down and out. However my more recent thoughts are that given some insight into aerodynamics I think the following might help with the answer: First, The air over the top of the car is essentially low pressure like over the top of an airfoil in flight. Then the air inside the cabin is ambient pressure since it is relatively still. The air into the front of the car and the engine compartment is ram air, so probably even higher pressure than ambient. Finally my first thought was that the air under the car is kind of like over the top air and therefore low pressure, but I failed to realize that the air under the car is in fact ground effect air and therefore probably even higher pressure than ambient.

So, given all of that it really depends on the relative pressures of the air through the radiator and the air under the front of the car. If the ground effect air under the front of the car is higher than the ram air through the radiator then I think the Belly Pan will actually enhance the cooling by reducing the effect of ground effect air kind of holding back the ram air through the radiator. However if the ram air is higher pressure than the ground effect air the Belly Pan may in fact be restricting the air through the radiator.

Overall however, I don't think that the limitation or enhancement, whichever, is at all significant.
