Jerry"s Early 928 Belly Pan Now Available

Just received my 2 belly pans from from Jerry this weekend. All I can say is it was worth the wait.
Initial impressions:
I understand the original trepidation around cost, but this is worth it. Everything today is made out of plastic junk. This is a super high quality product that shows a lot of thought, design and execution was involved once you hold it your hand. If you were one fence, don't be.
THANKS JERRY!!!
Initial impressions:
- Well Boxed/Shipped.
- Nice 2 page write-up/instructions about the history of the belly pan and how to install.
- Product looks better than factory. It's thick. It sounds, looks and feels rugged.
- I originally was going to try and save a $$$ by not getting them painted. I'm glad I didn't. The paint finish is glorious.
- 5 out 5 stars.

^^^ I would concur with what you said. Well packaged and quality is great. Love the adjustability of the pan to allow for variances between models.

using a rasperry pi and existing open source software, along with a barometric pressure sensor, you could get some actual data. i'm curious as to how this pan would work with and without the lower front spoiler.....

The real question is what exactly do you mean by "work?" The Belly Pan is called a Protection Plate by the Factory. If it never has to protect from anything it is intended to protect from, it is superfluous? So what is your point?

Thanks for that. The variance is not between the models, but rather the difference is where the motor mounts have settled in any of the cars.

B. this is really a very nice post. More than very nice! I have always put myself in the position of a buyer in regard to something I am producing as to what I should expect from the seller. That is the quality of what you have received. I can't do anything less. I personally am kind of impressed myself with the quality of these Pans as Painted. Thanks for your very favorable report.

One thing I have learned by shipping a few of the Pans by USPS Priority Mail is that with the current surcharge of $15 and the insurance the total has been coming to more than $65 domestically. I need to change the shipping charge to $70 for Domestic and to $85 for Canada and then $120 for Australia and other places. I didn't mind eating a little bit for some of the domestic shipments, but not that much. The pans are still $395 per pan. Add $10 to the shipping if it includes 2 pans. I could probably ship 3 pans in one box for the extra $10.

there are no slots..i'm guessing the early pan didn't have them, but they were added later. so does the early pan cause drag?

My pan and cowl cover arrived yesterday. Very impressed with both. Detailed instructions for both and a little bag of hardware with a nut driver and 8mm wrench are included. Seems wrong to install them where they’ll hardly be seen.
thank you Jerry

I have filled the orders I have had for these Pans and I have one order pending that I can fill readily. I have several pans in the nearly finished stage and then a whole "nuther" batch of material I am working up to form several more. Thanks everyone for your support and enthusiasm about these Belly Pans.

Hi Scott. I'm sorry I have been so long in responding to this question, but I didn't know the answer to some of it until just recently. I hadn't given any thought to Carlisle, but if I had that would probably be the best event to attend with these Pans given its central purpose. As to Rendezvous I had actually previously stated an intention to go there, but not because of the Belly Pans, and I even still have the time blocked on my office calendar. However some conflict that has presented itself now and the need to do the timing belt and pump on the car I would want to drive there, both taking up more of the time I have available, now are going to preclude me from going there.

Thanks, Ed, for your concern. I find that with the necessary travel from here to there and with everything that I need to do here now, including a TB /WP on the 89 I had planned to take, that I just can't justify making the trip.
