This community has lost one of its brighter lights and a man who was truly well loved and respected. I am sorry for you loss and hope that you take comfort in the fact that he knew in his passing that he was well and truly loved.

Jeanie,
So sorry to hear about about Dave.
Been a long time since I met y’all at OCIC 2000.
Thanks to you and Dave for all the support when I entered the 928 world. Always a pleasure seeing y’all at events!
Thoughts and prayers to Dave, you, and your entire family!
RIP DR!

Oh, Jeannie, this is just so hard to hear.
I've been mostly absent in the online 928 arena for quite a few years (928 is rarely driven) as we were dealing with some huge challenges in our own family, but I've never forgotten about the great service from and friendship with you and Dave starting way back in 1999 (made it halfway across the country just once to SITM in 2003).
I'm so sorry that you and Dave weren't able to share more years together.
Around the 928 world, many of us will be staring at our cars, contemplating the connections to Dave. In my case, the most visible are my car's Kinesis Supercup wheels that once adorned one of Dave's cars. They'll now forever evoke memories of Dave and the numerous conversations we had when he so graciously offered advice and we shared stories, often having little or nothing to do with our cars.
This is a very sad day.

SITM 2008, Dave showed us his operating suite, high bay room with big TV where must have worked on cars like a surgeon. Was very kind to me and my boy, our first intro to the 928 world. God speed.

Jeannie, I too am very saddened by the passing of Dave. I didn't know you and him and have been too far away to participate in SITM, but from Dave's presence on this Forum the initials DR have always brought me to see what he was about. I admire you for your devotion to him especially through his last months. I went through much similar for a couple of years with my now late wife who passed three years ago. I'm very happy to see that SITM will continue in your and Dave's tradition. May Dave rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about your loss Jeannie. Dave is an icon for his achievements and leadership, but even more for being such a great guy. It's been a tough road for many months for both of you and this must be the toughest time of all. Please get some much needed rest. I am praying for you and sending positive thoughts your way.

Jeannie, no words are adequate to comfort what you are going thru. You and Dave were the first people I reached out to when searching for a 928. I was green and you were both very generous in schooling me on the basics about 928 ownership. Then, many probing questions were sent my way so that I would end up with the best possible car to suit my needs. I had put a deposit down on a 1988 auto and made a final call: Like out of a movie scene speaking with you, Dave in the background, and in unison, "You need to buy a GT." You both felt that I would never be happy with an automatic, and that's how I ended up with a GT. Perhaps all in days work for you, but I have not forgotten that and can never thank you enough.
May God bless you and Godspeed to David,
May God bless you and Godspeed to David,

Such sad news to hear. My condolences. I remembered placing my first order with you and David when I picked up my 86.5 928S 4 yrs ago. It was such a joy to have the car and a pleasure in dealing with you guys. I hope you will find consolation in knowing that David is no longer suffering and his remembrance will be carried on and appreciated by many on this forum.
