Default Front hood latch support panel

Checking to see if anyone has replaced the front latch support panel on 1988 S4?

Is it affecting the operation of the hood latch, or just messing up attaching the bumper cover? That piece is 928 501 033 03 - Mark might have a NOS replacement, he has a random collection of individual body pieces from some dealership closeout a bunch of years ago.

He also has front clips you could probably graft the piece out of. Pichai is standing by, sawzall in hand.

It will not lock as the hood was ripped back and out of latched position.

With a frame machine and the proper clamping device,
that part can be pulled back into position ,
this will then remove any welding or body shutz being disturbed.

Ouch! Sorry to see that supercedar!

If you don't go the frame machine route and Mark doesn't have what you need, while cleaning my garage I came across a piece like that from the '81 I had disassembled. Not the cleanest cuts though:
