Got the 1987 S4 cleaned up, readying for sale.

Bittersweet day. Spent some quality time replacing the brake master cylinder with a brand new Porsche unit. Was finally able to take the old girl for a spin. The brakes had dragged before.
Washed, chamois, clay bar and waxed. Vacuumed out and cleaned.
Never really put any mods on it except for the side mirror covers and aftermarket carpets, so "putting it back to stock" just means the next owner won't have many dings on the side mirrors and basically good as new factory for mats!
No idea where to sell my baby I've had since it was new in June of '87, but I'm enjoying making her look nice before she leaves.

Bring a trailer (BAT) lately appears to be the best place for selling at top dollar. This looks like a prime candidate.
I personally value cosmetics over mechanicals. Mechanicals are relatively easy and less expensive to bring up to date.
I wonder how many original 928 owners even exist? I'm guessing is a fairly select small group.

135k miles ( mostly highway miles, had a long distance job I drove back and forth to twice a week, 400 mile round trip.)
There were some rubber gaskets replaced, including the valve cover gaskets, if that's what you mean, to prevent coolant/oil leaks.

Funny story. The Cadillac dealer wouldn't give us the time of day (we had just got off work in our restaurant. Too shabby looking, I guess?) So we went next door to the Porsche dealer, paid cash for this car that was sitting on the lot, then drove back over and let them know they had lost a sale.

Gotta get some pretty pics of the engine bay next. Don't really have much of an idea what something like this is worth these days, just started looking around at prices. Just got a Rennlist paid membership now, so I'll probably list it here soon when I figure that out.

Thank you. It seems a lot of these were bought up by people who couldn't care for them properly back when they had zero resale value, so not a lot of unmolested ones left.
