Currently ive got everything electrical working but car wont start (a complete reversal from a few months ago!) . The person who put the car back together used parts from a older generation 928 and redneck engineered the radiator, oil cooler, air condenser and other related items. This made the car 'function' but it could only get down the road before it would break down. Due to this problem I decided to look into all of these problems and it has been 1 step forward 2 steps back ever since. Thinking ill get it roadworthy by fall. Hopefully the pictures will tell the tale.

A good look inside of the engine before I took everything apart. Front light wire harness wasn't connected to anything which was causing quite a few electrical problems throughout the car.

After taking the incorrect radiator and oil cooler out. Check out the radiator fan that has mercedes, audi and porsche part numbers. Having 0 experience working on Porsches at this point I thought I was going crazy because none of the parts matched what should have been in the car.

After a visit to the warehouse I found a radiator, oil cooler, condenser, new spark plugs, pop-up headlight motor and a few small things.

Air tubes are the correct way in this picture, lol. Last time I made a trip to the warehouse I was able to find a cruise control module, front air flaps + motor + hardware, a color matching hood, small air filter, and a few more small things. Because of these parts I was able to put the DS fender and bumper back on. After getting the air flap motor and the cruise control module plugged in the pop up headlights began to work out of no where. However, whenever the lights retreat into the car the motor seizes the fuse sounds like a machine gun firing on full auto.

I recently discovered that the water fluid reservoir is completely missing and in doing so broke part of the charcoal container - damn brittle plastic.

As of now there is still quite a list to work on, but I think that ill be able to give it another life.

I do have a wiring question if anyone knows -
Ive been able to find out where every electrical connection has gone - except these 2.
1- (Larger in photo #2, on the lower right side)

2 yellow wires into a semi-circle connector.
If my tracking is correct, it does not originate from the Lights USA wiring harness, instead it comes from the drivers side coming through the firewall near the brake booster.

2- (Larger in photo's 3 and 4)

Originates from the same place as wires #1?? I haven't been able to track this one as it seems to disappear down below the ignition coil.

Wow your certainly knee deep in the hoopla.
is this an auto?

If so I would suggest that you do a flex plate inspection and check the crank end play. report what you find ,
also make sure to retorque the rear pinch bolt at the transaxle first to 66 ft lbs
