Looks like it did quite the off-road adventure and has some of the repairs completed before a no-start condition left it at rest...

Hopefully it gets rescued!

I believe that these are multipurpose vehicle tags and not car tags--so, these tags are not associated with car, in all likelihood. Thus, it might be easier to trace by using the VIN.

Also, the front fenders with guard strips don't seem to match the doors (that are missing the holes for the guard strips).

found lost ? It's not a puppy, most likely stolen. And if that is the case the plates may be as well. A pic of the vin might help it get back to the owner. There should never be a stolen 928 that isn't found. I know certain vendors like to know the particulars of these cars when you buy parts. That's a good idea.

My thoughts as well - abandoned after a joy ride with apparent evidence of such.

I used to live in a neighborhood edging on some shady areas. One night I was woken up by banging that kept getting closer. Went outside to see a bunch of giggling teenagers running to jump into a buddy's car and make their escape. Between talking to my neighbors gathered outside that night and the next day, pieced together a car was stolen from an apartment complex a couple of miles away, were knocking down mailboxes throughout the neighborhood (banging noise) and then didn't realize they were hauling @ss down a neighborhood road that dead ended into woods and a pond!

Youngsters + Boredom = Risky Business!

I spoke with Stan... Mmerlin.. before I posted. I'm not there this week to get VIN 😏. Yep, it'll be a sad thing for the home Depot to trash it from their parking lot

Probably end up on Copart if it is a stolen vehicle, recovered and the insurance company has paid the owner off. It looks like someone tried to repair it after the big shunt that damaged the lower section of the car and required new fenders... No matter what happens this is a long story car and it might be just another donor so that others live on...

Keep us posted!

Wow. I would not have guessed it was salvageable in 2016. But someone did. Sort of. And then someone smacked it. I wonder if the accident that took out the pass front fender was the same one that did the rear quarter and the bottom molding, or if there have been three accidents? Or maybe the front fenders were just more damaged than they look in 2016 photos.

Born and raised in Philly and soon as I saw this knew it was a dump job. Someone took this on and then decided to rid themselves of the project. Probably put there in the middle of the night. It’s the Philly way..This location is literally less than a block away from Philadelphia border. Sad end to a great car.

Is that Diamond Blue Metallic? The copart picture shows the beauty of that color, despite the damage around it. Copart simply lists the color as "gray".
