Default New guy with an old 928 project

Hey everyone -

Speedtoys mentioned to me that I should include you all on my 928 journey. I bought a 928 sight unseen (from a reputable member, thank goodness) and I'm working on getting it back on the road. I've got a few videos up, but here's the first one from when I got the car.

I painted the car this last weekend.
I can spot nearly every flaw in the paint job already, but since I did it myself, I am pretty proud of how it turned out, since I have never painted a whole car before, especially metallic, and in a narrow space.

Love the new color that Throttle has chosen. When it's done this 928 is going to look spectacular!

Vanster had a project going, and NOT for lack of funds, but his body guy torpedoed the project, and it was time to cut losses.

Jeff seemed like the right new owner.

"sight unseen"

I did that. I've heard stories about great seller/great outcomes, and some that were the opposite. Mine was the latter. I hope yours goes well!

Start cleaning those grounds!

thanks for all the nice words - I rallied hard this week to get a bunch of work done on the engine, and fell a little short of my goal. Hope to have a few more videos in the next week or so.

I'll have an engine disassembly vid up tonight. I am a little behind on video processing, and I ran into a big snag with the clutch setup. Missing one disc and a guide tube. Still have to rebuild the release bearing, and find some more parts before I can install the engine.

From my experience you will get a ton more help from this board if you include your city of residence.
