Stan,

Is there any additional parts beyond the ones you mentioned in the DIY thread? I only saw the following:

1 x 140 277 01 51 Spacer Ring To Reaction Valve Band B-2 $0.92
1 x 016 997 34 48 Transmission O-Ring To Rear Case Plug $0.81
1 x 005 997 80 48 Transmission O-Ring For Reaction Valve At Band B-1 $0.35
1 x 016 997 35 48 Transmission O-Ring For Overload Protection Switch (4.5 X 9.5 X 2.5 mm) $1.72
1 x 002 545 45 14 Switch on Automatic Transmission (Overload Protector)

This makes 3 O-Rings and 1 Spacer and 1 Switch

Got some bad news last week that will have some long term effects on my family. Stepped away but now I'm back. The pic below is the reaction valve installed. The Vaseline held the pressure pin straight doe the install. Seems to be sitting in the right way from the pic.

I threaded the switch in and no weird feelings. Seems like everything went smooth. Although I couldn't use my torque wrench though. I used my large 36mm wrench and gave it the 'Good and Tight' torque.

All plugged in now... Done. I have some more cleaning to do but will provide updates after a test drive.

Andy,

was there any additional o ring needed around the sensor?

No. This is no surprise either. I even scoured the Mercedes forums. Any owners of w140, w124 and r129 chassis have the same issue with the switch. All have reported no seal between the switch and the transmission case.

I believe the reason for this is due to the additional o-rings on the reaction valve 'serving this purpose.'
