Rest in Peace Nate - GT6ixer
Today we had a 928 meet up here in Portland where we learned the awful and terrible news that Nate (GT6ixer) passed away unexpectedly on Friday. Nate was Engineering Program Manager at and was doing his job as an experimental flight test engineer when his test plane crashed. He will be missed by his family, friends and the 928 cormmunitity. Many of us have been honored to have met and become friends with Nate, many more than myself. I'm devastated. I can only imagine those closer to him with will feel an even greater loss. I appreciate Nate's longtime friend Matt, and fellow 928 owner making the long trip from Seattle to Portland today to share this sad news and celebrate Nate with us. Matt, thank you, I felt I should share something with the 928 community since Nate has contributed much.
i was looking for some photos with Nate, I don't have any other than this one from this past summer in Tacoma, you can see Nate showing his son Jeff's @throttlegrotto newly acquired 928.

💜 Heartfelt thanks 💜
I don't know how to begin to thank all of you for this incredibly beautiful thread. My family and I have been completely overwhelmed by the amazing outpouring of love and support for my brother, Nath (Nate/GT6ixer). He was (I can't believe I have to write about him in the past tense) simply THE.BEST.HUMAN. 💗 His love was felt far and wide....by his wife and children, his family, relatives, friends, co-workers...
I knew he was special. But I had no idea how special, until our lives were forever changed on Nov. 18th. I'm comforted knowing he is in heaven and watching over his family.🙏
My brother loved life, people, football, golf, poker, food, desserts, traveling, cars... but most of all, he loved being a devoted husband to his adoring wife and a one-of-a-kind dad to his precious children.
I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to road trip with him back in October of this year. He was driving his 928 back home and offered to take me along for the end of the journey. I will forever cherish those moments I spent with him.💞
Some have asked how they can help. A GoFundMe account has been set up to support his family:

On behalf of myself, my parents, and my sister-in-law, please accept our heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful and comforting messages. With love and gratitude. ❤️

This is terrible news. Fvkc. I have known Nate through this community for a long time. He is originally from Pittsburgh, and his family is still here. He has been back a couple of times and I have gotten to enjoy real live time with him. I cannot believe this. Nobody was a bigger ambassador for the 84 shark than Nate.
My heart goes out to his family. RIP Nate.
